As an administrator of a small and busy team of five, I understand how important it is for the team to have the necessary administrative support. Goldsmiths Students’ Union is a charity representing over 10,000 students studying at Goldsmiths, University of London. My role worked to provide support and advice to make University life easier whilst representing students on the issues that matter. Over two years in this role, many responsibilities have pushed me far in my career at such an early stage. My time as Education Officer included but was not limited to the following: - Being the principal representative of Goldsmiths students on matters relating to the academic and educational experience - Being a crucial member of the Trustee Board of Goldsmiths Students’ Union (the highest decision-making body of the organisation) - Representing the views of Goldsmiths students to the University, the wider community and nationally on matters relating to the academic and educational experience. - Campaigning on issues affecting Goldsmiths students locally and nationally on matters relating to the academic and educational experience - Supporting activities such as Welcome Week and other Students’ Union events -Attending monthly Department Rep meetings to gather feedback from student representatives of Goldsmiths students - Championing anti-racism work and liberation alongside the Welfare and Liberation Officer - Working closely with the Student Voice team to contribute to ongoing student-led activities
