Background; Variety International (VI) undertook a paradigm shift in its business, which modernised the structure and aligned its operations with its objective of serving children throughout the world. The world stage is now viewed through 5 Regions which cover all of the planet and the prime responsibility in each Region falls to new Committees for each Region. Champions have been appointed via the transitional rules of the restructure to form the Regional Committees and to start forming an agenda for the work to be done . The 5 Regions are; 1. North America- 2. South America 3. Europe/Central Asia 4. Asia Pacific 5. Africa/Middle East Each Region has a different number of Tents , which are different from each other in many different ways. There is a wide range of size , structure , governing rules and development, from start-up, to mature , to in decline. Besides Tents, VI also has another traditional element called the Variety International Children’s Fund (VICF). The role of VICF is to work in areas around the world where there are no Tents and has generally serviced children’s needs on a broader community scale.
