Bio
Theresa Pelkey, ME, PMP
I have known Forest Marchese for a very long time. He started out reporting to me as a Production Supervisor and then became a peer as a Site Director. It is hard to put in words the respect and admiration I have for Forest. When he started working for me as a Production Supervisor, it was very clear the type of integrity and drive he had from day one. Forest is one of the most dedicated and passionate people I have ever had the privilege of working with. He has this uncanny ability to see solutions and innovations where others don’t. Many times, others would work on problems unsuccessfully, when Forest would come along and think about it from a unique perspective and voila, come up with a solution or an improvement to make it even better. His ideas saved us a substantial amount of money over the years while we worked together. I could always count on him to dig in with the team, look for new ways to do things, and then motivate and train the team to excel. In addition to his innovative and problem-solving skills, he is also one of the best managers I have seen. He embodies servant leadership, staying over to talk with an employee to help develop them or work through something if it be professional or personal. He is always willing to help others with what they are working on. I experienced this firsthand as an Engineering Manager, he would take the time to review design plans with me, walk the floor with me, and discuss options and equipment, even though I know he was extremely busy with his own job. He is just that dedicated to the success of others around him and the success of the company he is working for. Finally, Forest is one of the most coachable people I know. He has a thirst for learning and growing that makes being his manager a true pleasure. Every day he helped me become a better manager by being honest, taking and giving feedback and being your true partner in whatever we needed to do for the success of the company. Anyone lucky enough to know and have Forest on their team will know it. I can’t recommend him enough; you want him on your team.

I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Forest for nearly 6 years. From our first meeting, I could tell he was a natural-born leader and possessed great technical skill. As time progressed, he continued to impress me with his constant professional growth and became an inspiration for myself and those around him. Startup environments can be trying and stressful, but you will never see those negative responses from Forest. His enthusiasm and can-do attitude are contagious and make the even the toughest situations easier. This makes him not only a wonderful member of the team, but also an unwavering leader. He is a true steward of servant leadership and sets his foundation in relationship-building with everyone from hourly employees to the executive teams. Under his leadership, our hourly employee turnover rate plummeted because of the rapport he built and the loyalty he gained. Though he moved up in leadership roles, Forest maintained technical expertise in all areas of the manufacturing process. Even as new products and lines were implemented, he stayed close to the details of operation and process design so that he could serve as a solid representative when technical input was needed. I leaned on him many times to fill in where my understanding had gaps and have learned so much from our discussions. From the simplest to the most complex situations, Forest has such a creative approach to problem solving. He is unafraid to question the assumptions and tactfully propose big changes. His continuous education mindset ensures that there is no problem too big to tackle. Whether he’s diving in deep with a vendor, reading the regulatory documents, taking online courses, or beefing up his formal education credentials, Forest will always be improving himself in order to anticipate the needs of his team. Forest’s dedication and enthusiasm are unrivaled among his peers and I would be happy to give any further references or recommendations that are needed to understand what kind of impact he can have to an organization.
