ABOUT neurocare: With leading engineering, science and AI, neurocare ensures best practice clinical processes and quality patient care, embedded in our integrated Digital Therapy Platform (DTP). Our DTP enables clinicians to better personalize therapy based on a multi-dimensional intake. We scale this best practice process through digital backend and frontend tools to service and empower better clinical outcomes. Our mission is to make effective therapies faster and more cost-effective, with an average of 30 sessions over 3 months for long-lasting positive results. We implement this in our own clinics worldwide. Research Intern

Intern in the department of experimental psychology and Neuroscience supporting research projects in human awareness and visual perception using machine learning tools. Previously wrote a paper using basic-image properties to explain the emotional perception of faces as a new method to explain previously collected results in suppression paradigms (b-CFS, CFS, BR). We successfully explained ambiguities in findings of previous studies with using spatial frequency and local edge orientation in faces. Currently working on a paper comparing the low-level image properties responsible to encode emotions in faces and abstract art. We expect to find the same properties (spatial frequency, edge orientation, colours) to encode how we categorise emotions in art and faces. Both of these projects contribute to turning away from understanding emotional experience in terms of categories (happy, sad, etcetera) that are processed in higher cognition but in terms of low-level properties processed early in the visual hierarchy.
