As a Safety and Emergency Procedures Instructor I am responsible for training new and existing crew. This includes Initial and Conversion Courses for new cabin crew, safety and emergency procedures training as part of the Operator Conversion Course for flight crew, Senior Cabin Crew upgrade training and annual recurrent training for both flight and cabin crew.As part of my daily tasks, I deliver both theoretical classroom lessons as well as practical training on representative aircraft trainings devices (CEET), practical fire and smoke training (RFFT), practical ditching and first aid exercises.Furthermore my duties for the trainings-department include organizational and administrative work (e.g. processing failed trainees, updating records, preparing trainings material, liaising with different departments and companies, etc.). An important part of my responsibilities is also the human side of training as I deal with a wide range of people coming from many different parts of the world on a personal level.Included in my position as SEP Instructor is also the Line Checker qualification which allows me to perform Line Checks on Junior and Senior Cabin Crew as well as potential new Senior Cabin Crew Members as part of their upgrade training.
