Intermodal Coordinators are responsible for overseeing the operations of the intermodal rail yard. Primary duties may include planning of railcar position in ramp or yard, planning and switching inbound or outbound intermodal traffic, reviewing train schedules, moving cars, request inspections, and repairs. PLan and manage the loading of 250 to 400 loads per shift while maintaining communication and collaboration with all departments. We are responsible for all intermodal cargo and rail cars reaching their intended destination in a safe and timely fashion. As Intermodal Coordinator, we supervise yard Operators and Switchcrew, provide team members directly, and have strong administrative skills to manage records regarding train arrival and departures, employee schedules, train destinations, and cargo destination and classification.We provide Railroad crews with proper documentation outlining train specifications for safe and accurate departure.
