Florence and I served on a National Focus Committee for Women's Council of REALTORS. Our task was to develop a program that would aid future Leadership in WCR around the country. It ended up being "The Task is to Ask". After observing Florence's work ethic on a National level, I knew that when my cousin was returning to the United States from Norway, after 13 years, to San Antonio, she was the REALTOR that I wanted to work with my cousin. Professional, Personal and a Caring agent that got an excellent job done. Thanks, Florence.

As my agent, Florence was very knowledgeable about the housing market and demonstrated a high level of competence and thoroughness that allowed me to gain a good deal of insight concerning my first homebuying experience. Her level of expertise and commitment was exemplary and truly appreciated.

I was elected, by my peers, to lead the San Antonio Board of REALTORS. SABOR is the largest trade organization in San Antonio. We did fundraisers for TREPAC so that we can help fund political candidates that embrace the REALTOR Party. We fund lobbyists to promote and protect private property rights. It was a very rewarding year working with a great Board of Directors and the best staff in the world. We visited with our Mayor, City Council and other leaders in the city regarding issues related to our industry. We especially worked hard to get the attention of Bexar County Tax Assessor regarding escalating taxes in some neighborhoods and not others. We attended state and national meetings in Austin and Washington D.C. We have had audiences with our Governor as well as state and national legislators. We conducted Town Hall meetings, educating our REALTORS on changes in laws, industry trends and kept them informed of all the facets of our business locally and nationally. Because of the fabulous members we have in our Board, we have a deep line up of upcoming leaders that will continue to keep SABOR on the cutting edge of the industry. It was truly my privilege to serve. Show less

    • Regional Vice President
      • Jan 2005 - Dec 2005

In this position, I had chapters I, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and members at Large in Arkansas. This year, we were charged with putting on a Tri-Regional which involved RVPs from 2 other regions comprising 15 states and close to 1,000 members. We put together a dynamic program that brought over 400 members from the 15 states as well as our national WCR leaders and Past Precious Presidents. We had a jammed pack weekend of education, networking, fun and fellowship. We raised enough money to pay all expenses and for each region to get over $19,000 added to their coffers. Our aim was not as a fundraiser, but with God's blessings, we received exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ask or think. I had a wonderful time getting to know my RVP partners and working together for the common good of our organization. It was the bet Tri-Regional ver held. Show less

    • WCR State President
      • Jan 2003 - Dec 2003

This was an exciting time in my life. To have the privilege of leading dynamic men and women in our industry was humbling and exhilarating at the same time. I had the privilege to travel and visit with our different chapters around the state. We had two state meetings in Austin and represented the state nationally. I was blessed to have a great team and worked together to improve leadership skills for our local chapters, had very successful fundraisers that allowed us to hire "cutting edge" speakers and trainers. Developed friendships sound the country that will last a lifetime. Show less
