PhD in “the development of in vitro therapeutics targeted nanoparticles for the treatment of thyroid cancer”. Targeted therapies using nanoparticles are being used as drug delivery systems to treat cancer more effectively while minimizing side effects. I have studied the relevance of targeting nanoparticles to the improvement of cancer treatment. Specifically, I selected targeting antibodies that optimally deliver drug carriers to certain cellular destinations as a key component of successful new drug therapy. I studied binding, internalization, and intracellular trafficking of different targeted nanoparticles by fluorescence microscopy. Show less
