      The North East Raising Aspiration Partnership is part of the NNCO (National Network for Collaborative Outreach), a scheme funded by HEFCE (Higher Education Funding Council for England) which brings together universities and further education colleges into local networks to provide coordinated outreach activity, as well as acting as a single point of contact for the North East region. The Partnership comprises of the five North East universities (Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland, Teesside) and provides a range of collaborative activities for students in late Primary and Secondary Education and specific targeted support for vulnerable groups which are designed to enhance Higher Education aspiration and attainment. The Partnership also delivers events for teachers, advisers, parents and carers to support information, advice and guidance given to young people across the Region. As a Graduate Ambassador, I am part of a team responsible for delivering events and activities on behalf of the Partnership.In addition, I am part of the Access and Student Recruitment team at Durham University who deliver outreach activity to under-represented groups, as well as general information and guidance to prospective applicants.
