IT Project Director - Employment Services Major Projects- Personally developed and designed simple yet innovative solutions to streamline the income support payment process during covid-19 that were adopted by government and implemented across business processes in Services Australia and Department of Employment, Skills and Education.- Lead a successful program of work of 10 project teams under high pressure over 18 months during COVID-19 which included: -implementation of the IT deliverables for the New Employment Services Trial (~17M) -Employment Services covid-19 response -Fast Track and expand the Online Employment Service (~$10M) -Simplifications to the employment services component of the income support claim process (~20M)- Implemented whole of Employment Service Program Increment Planning every 10 weeks, including working with and coaching senior executive to prioritise a large and diverse backlog.- Ensured that the overall program and specific project budgets and roadmaps were tracked, risks/issues registered and resolved. Developed reports to provide status updates fortnightly.- Regularly assisted teams across IT and business to resolve complex problems by bringing an outside view, ensuring the problem was well understood and by challenging teams to think differently about solutions.Design and Architecture Coordination - Digital Employment Service Platform (DESP) Second Pass Business Case (~295M)- In parallel to my role as Project Director I also coordinated the Service Design, Architecture and IT costing input into the DESP second pass business case.- Worked with business, solution architects, service designers and external consultancy groups to ensure alignment across all four areas in terms of input into the business case.- Developed detailed internal costings and Services Australia costing requests for the business case.- Facilitated workshops with Services Australia, Internal Finance and Department of Finance to agree costs.

- Implementation of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Scrum across three different teams.- Implemented SAFe for a program with eight scrum teams. Planned and facilitated scrum of scrums, program increment planning and ensured ongoing alignment between teams.- Managed all sprint ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-up, showcase, sprint review and retrospective.- For the team with the most complex work I coached both a new scrum master (internal) and product manager (external) to a high level of autonomy and proficiency.- Implemented user centred design practices within all teams that I was scrum master for including by undertaking discovery research with actual users, rapid prototype development and usability testing.- Improved the accessibility of the standard UI framework by working with users requiring assistive technology to understand their flow.- Implemented T shaped skills across the teams I worked in for example developers supporting testing, testers supporting discovery and design. My responsibilities included: management of performance for continuous improvement, using Call Operation Performance Centre (COPC) standards and Six Sigma techniques to analyse and improve quality, conducting one on ones with technical support specialists for 360 degree feedback, conducting team meetings. Achievements included: being promoted to Team Leader after only a month of working with the company, being awarded Team Leader of the Quarter 6 months later, innovative use of technology to improve performance and quality.
