As a cofounder and technical lead in a small team I’ve spent time leading the product development team, resource planning and managing critical production infrastructure, implementing an agile task management system, and coordinating with our support team to resolve complex problems for our customers. As ever in a small start up everyone wears many hats so even in a management position I’ve been very hands on; I’ve been involved in designing, prototyping and deploying BuildBee’s software and web services (primarily built on AWS microservices, Python and JavaScript) and Cloud Dock thin-client environments, DevOps and communication infrastructure management, integrating new printer hardware into the platform, user testing and user experience research, brand development, CAD design, and even a bit of marketing and PR.
