I had an opportunity to work with Flavio during his 6 months PostDoc in the lab of nanoscale biology at EPFL. In the lab he had to start with building an optical tweezers setup from scratch. He mastered this task by himself in a very short time and surprised me with his hand on experience of optical engineering. During his short stay he taught me many things regarding optics, programming and entrepreneurship. Aside from technical part, Flavio is a person with a nice sense of humor with whom you enjoy talking about different topics. In addition, we played football in the same team where he demonstrated he enjoyed taking a lead and responsibility. Based on his professional and interpersonal skills I believe that Flavio would be a valuable employee always targeted to deliver results.

László Forró

He was one of my brightest master student who followed with a PhD project in my lab. His strenght was his very good skill in setting up a measurement, taking experimental data, analysing them and.performing theoretical modelling, In the five years spent in my lab, he has become an independent researcher. I can fully recommend him for a research positon.
