  In 2018 Cartagon was bought by TWS, a platform that belongs to Strikwerda Investments, a 2bn€ Dutch private equity fund, and I became CEO & Managing Partner of the resulting unit, focused on Managed Cloud Services.Cartagon is managing the core network and Data Center infrastructure for the group in Spain, having direct interconnects with the main cloud providers in Madrid.At the same time, the Software as a Service business line is growing with some new innovative solutions like monday.com, that are also being offered internally using the group brands all over Europe.TWS is an European platform that at the current moment owns 14 companies in the EU.

  In June 2016, with more than 30 employees on the company, I focused on the role of CEO and chaired the Board, leaving the day-to-day executive responsibility to the General Manager of the company, that took charge after being Operations Manager and Sales Manager.From 2016 to 2018 the core business was already cloud computing, and we launched the Software as a Service business line, with solutions based on G Suite & Office 365 and some other innovative solutions like Copper.In this period we received several recognitions from the sector, both in Spain and the European Union.

  Cartagon was founded in the year 2000 as an Internet Services Provider. Initially, the company was offering domain & web hosting services with infrastructure located in the US.In the year 2003 we moved all our infrastructure to Spain, starting by one Data Center in Madrid, and grew until a geo-redundant 3 Data Center platform with our own network, AS and a wide range of services in the year 2010 including Managed Services.From 2010 to 2016 the company added Data Center locations in Spain and the US, expanded the network and launched several innovative products like cloudVPN, CloudFlex (formerly Cloud Dedicated Infrastrucrue) & Smart Cloud Security, among many others. Also partnership agreements were done with Google, AWS and Azure.Companies like General Motors, Codere, Gestamp, Alain Afflelou were already our customers.
