I am working with the Big Data department of a Leading Insurance company as a link with BISpark GraphX to solve using Pregel analytical graph problems deeply dificult to solve with mapreduce.Pig, to reduce SAS process times from 17 hours to less tan 1 hour, for many of the workflows I created several UDF with diferente purposes. We used Tez as an engine to accelerate Pig and Hive.In order to acomplish all the issues we work against a Yarn cluster with 52 cores in development and 124 cores in production. In this momento we are using Hive Metastore in order to save the most of the results while using also Neo4J in order to have a graph to do certain queries.Google Analytics, I worked on a Maven Project to automate the use of our Google Analytcs infrastructure, using Spring in order to make Java code more modular. Textile sector automation projectProject for a big textile manufacturer in Spain. In the logistic chain we ingested with Apache Flume the information that sensors emitted. With a business logic tool we were able to predict mechanical failures in the system and take actions before failures happened. We used a 40 nodes cluster Human Resources IT selection helperWe used Github information in order to measure the quality of different programmers worldwide. In this project we worked with Spark to analyze data in the HDFS by means of the PageRank algorithm. The idea was using that algorithm to score different programmers the same way Google scores different webpages. For presentation matters I used logstash, Elasticsearch and Kibana.I did an intense training inside the company working with the following technologies mainly using the Cloudera distribution,Hadoop:deeplyMapreduce: We worked in depth with several use cases.Pig: We work some days with this frameworkHive: We covered it widely.Flume: We also had a profound use of the Flume framework working with several use cases.Sqoop: We used sqoop for the basic cases of moving data from RDBMS to HDFSOozie: We used Oozie to automate workflowsHBASE: We used HBASE in the final project in order to present the final information to the user.Spark: We covered spark thoroughly using Python and Scala as languages instead of Java.Kite SDK and Crunch: We work some days with this frameworks that try to abstract a little over the mapreduce and Hadoop uses.Final project consisted in analyzing data gathered by means of the Piwik Data Analytics crowler which first we had to understand in order to decide how to deal with the data. Then we move the data from MySQL to the HDFS and with help of Mapreduce and Hive we answered the questions we were asked for. Then we presented the results in HBASE.We automated all the process by means of Hue using an Oozie workflow. We also introduced Hadoop Hortonworks distribution Show less
