I still remember the first time I met Firdous. It was the first day of my MBA classes and I remember how I felt all relaxed and cheery the moment I went and sat besides her in the canteen. And since then, she has been a stream of positivity and all things good in my life. We were in the same class for two years and this is what I have gathered about Firdous in this short but a life changing time of our lives. 1) Her work screams of aesthetics. She has an amazing understanding of how to create the best photographs and attach the most complimentary words to her creative. Every post on her Instagram has a story to tell and how she sums up a whole story in a few magic words is something I would teach myself. it 2) She is the best at making presentations, even better at presenting. I was in awe with her skills the first time we were grouped together to present on a topic in class. I think when she presented in class no one even looked the other way. And the reason for that is that she collected all the right data that would make the topic engaging and interesting. Even the templates and images she used for presentation were always on point, the crisp content really enhanced the whole experience for any one who is watching. The moment you think that's the end, she would add funny little punchlines and anecdotes to drive the point home. 3) She never shies away from Hard work, but is the queen of Smart work. I have seen her give it her all when she started working for Manipal University, Dubai. She worked hard to meet her targets, calling students again and again to make sure they enrol. But she worked smart when she learned from every phone call she made and eventually compiled all the right sentiments that would convince a student with fewer phone calls. 4) She is always in sync with the new trends. She has a habit of following the trendiest bloggers in town and is really interested in knowing what goes on in the marketing world; not because it's her job but because she really likes how different campaigns, or challenges change the way social media works. 5) She loves a good challenge. I have never seen her get demotivated in a challenging situation. She always has this positive attitude and really warm way of accepting obstacles in her work place and her life. She motivates herself to keep pushing ahead. Even in the most difficult of situations she never gives up. 6) She is a fast learner. I remember the time Firdous had to submit a paper on Gamification. She had a last minute change of topic from her mentor. The way she picked up pace and accepted this new topic, did all the right research, tried to understand every aspect of the topic, analysed the variables related to it and submitted the first draft well in time was commendable. It has always been a delight being around a person like Firdous who only inspires you to improve in life not by words but by words but by setting examples.
