Presently my first comedy play for adults is due to be staged in April 2018 in conjunction with CannyMan Community Arts in Galbally Community Centre. Over the last 12 years I have written 3 books, wrote several educational plays and puppet shows for schools and playgroups and participated in various short story compilations. I have been commissioned to write scripts for BEAM Creative Art on behalf of clients such as the PSNI and DOE and taught community creative classes for them in conjunction with local projects. I have worked with Primary school children and A-level students on promoting literacy in schools and I was Artist of the Year in the An Creagan Centre outside Omagh in 2013. This involved teaching creative writing to groups as well as mentoring individuals across a variety of genres and topics. I have facilitated workshops for CRAIC Theatre Coalisland and the Marketplace Theatre in Armagh as well as doing work to promote writing for both adults and children for Libraries.NI. I have also worked with trauma sufferers and those who have been affected by the troubles in Northern Ireland through Creative Writing classes, projects and residential weekends away in conjunction with The Peace Factory in Dungannon and Wave Trauma Centre in Armagh.
