At COP23, the Talanoa Dialogue was launched, to start in January 2018. As a companion to the Global Climate Action Yearbook 2018, a report on good practices identified in the Talanoa Dialogue was written. This report offered an overview of the actions which have already demonstrated success in addressing the causes and effects of climate change, and had potential for replication in other places. Specific examples across a variety of sectors were highlighted. Overall the report aims to provide inspiration for increasing ambition in climate action, as Parties and non-Parties work together to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. My role included: - conducting a screening of good practice examples submitted within the Talanoa Dialogue from Parties and Non-Party actors - developing a user-friendly database to catalogue these good practices - write a report, ''Global Climate Action 2018: Examples of Good Practice'' summarizing the good practices, as a companion piece to the ''Global Climate Action 2018 Yearbook'', for presentation and publication ahead of COP23 This task was undertaken in cooperation with UNFCCC and consultancy staff members.
