As a contaminated land specialist the role was to undertake desktop and field based assessments, develop and implement Environmental Monitoring Programmes and Remediation Action Plans and prepare reports to meet both statutory and client needs. Other duties included the provision of high level technical advice and infield support for drilling programmes including the Powerlink Molendinar to Swanbank Power Line Project, Queensland and Tugan Bypass Project, New South Wales/Queensland.

The Port Stephens Waste Management Facility was constructed as an organic processing facility to produce a commercial compost product utilising Bedminister technology in 1998. The facility was subject to stringent regulatory requirements to manage the potential environmental impacts from both the produced compose product and the non-compostable materials which we diverted to an engineered onsite landfill. The focus during this one year contract was to develop and implement a Surface Water Quality monitoring programme and site Sedimentation Management Programme to support the Port Stephens Waste Management Facility located at Raymond Terrace New South Wales to meet regulatory reporting and monitoring requirements.
