  In this project we try to investigate the stability of Caribbean coastal ecosystems under future extreme sea level changes. Large oceanic vortices, called eddies, transport large water masses from the Atlantic into the Caribbean, thereby influencing local sea water properties and sea level. Satellite (altimetry) measurements provide us with detailed information on local sea level dynamics and the presence and pathways of those eddies.
