Fiona has to be one of the best Records Management people i have worked with . She single handily took an antiquated records system and changed it into a well organised and easy to operate system in a relativly short period of time. I would highly recommendFiona to any prospective employer for her skills in her field. As an added bonus Fiona has a great sense of fun and homour which makes her great to work with.

I manage a team of 3 Records Officers, coordinate the accurate and efficient running of the Records Dept, and facilitate the education and training of all staff in the use of the electronic Records system. I am involved with setting up induction procedures for new staff, procedure manuals for Records staff and others, and the ongoing improvement of Records practices across the organisation. I assist staff to know the Records system better to get the best out of it when completing their assigned duties. I am responsible for processing Freedom of Information claims, assessing archived records for disposal, and the capturing of all Vital Records for the organisation's business continuity. I continue to strive towards our goal of a more paperless Records system. I enjoy delving into the Shire's archived older files to capture it's history electronically so that information can be used today, tomorrow and always. In 2016 I wrote a RDP - Records Digitisation Plan - for Council's endorsement. The plan facilitates day-boxing of scanned hard-copy documents for disposal after a 6-month period.
