This is still within Dorset County council - the development role is now generic and not specific to the over 50's The main bulk of my work is within the Trading standards team. The job role is to give talks to groups to make them SCAM aware and more able to spot a scam so as not to fall victim - the scam work is geared to towards Door step scams, dating, online, postal , digital and phone scams. I also visit individuals identified by national trading standards to help them if they are a victim of scams.

I develop communities by helping individuals or groups set up activities or assess how to improve activities or facilities to meet their communities specific needs or wants. With POPP this is geared towards the over 50's. I help to ensure people have a good quality of life and sufficient leisure and health care choices to help to enable over 50's stay in their homes for as long as they wish, or to enable them to have a choice of options when their circumstances are no longer ideal suited to their circumstances or needs.
