I had the pleasure of working with Fiona at Berghaus where her knowledge in material and trim development, working with the Berghaus product teams, supply chain and suppliers was apparent. Working to critical timelines Fiona was able to prioritise workload and highlight any potential delivery or quality concerns to the cross-functional teams providing and supporting solutions. As the covering Product Development Manager, I found Fiona approachable and great to work with which made communication and collaboration for the Product Development team and me easy. I am happy to recommend Fiona as she would be an asset to any team.

As a Materials Technologist at Pentland Brands, I was responsible for material development in the Active, Outdoor Division. Servicing the design and development team it was my responsibility to ensure that materials and trims were delivered in line with key critical path milestones which met the requirements of the brand team and were financially viable. Being a performance driven brand in a volatile market, a fundamental part of my role was ensuring that the materials brought to the team met rigorous internal performance test standards, whilst being at the forefront of innovation and sustainability in the marketplace. Cross functional communication was critical throughout the role and strong specialist knowledge to swiftly implement resolutions to technical challenges throughout development. The role spanned an array of material categories from that of insulation to waterproof breathable and extensive software knowledge in Product Lifecycle Management ,Microsoft packages and SAP.#Knitting #Weaving #Non-woven #MaterialDevelopment #SAP #Colouration #Finishing #WaterproofBreathable #Sustainability #Insulation Show less

Specialising in the outdoor division under the Berghaus brand I undertook a dual role within the Quality Assurance department. Analysing the returns data of the brand I identified key areas to drive product improvement for both carry over and new releases. Subsequently working with international tier 1 and tier 2 stakeholders to secure improvements across the garment and raw materials of the product to drive increased quality, consumer satisfaction and cost savings
