Developed skills in data analyses using SAS software suite and the built-in SQL language. Established a solid knowledge base of various statistical analytical techniques and how to apply such techniques to various types of data. Ran multi-trait, multi-breed genetic evaluations. Identified, investigated and proven the benefit of utilizing unused data that is routinely discarded from genetic evaluation runs. Collaborated with various industry stakeholders and communicated research findings to stakeholders. Developed the framework for multiple decision-support tools that incorporate Irish national cattle genetic and performance data. Developed and built-in statistical methodology to predict the future performance of beef females in order to provide farmers with an estimation of lifetime profit potential.
