  I am currently a full time Year 6 class teacher and Head of Upper Keystage 2 at a 2 to 3 form entry primary through to secondary international school in Switzerland. I am also in charge of student leadership and within this, am part of the pastoral lead team. The school is an expanding British Curriculum School which also teaches the International Primary Curriculum and caters for the Swiss Maturite Curriculum. This role is part of the senior leadership team so have helped put together the school development plan and action plans and implemented our development areas through staff professional development, learning environment walks, teacher observations and team teaching and planning.

  I was the Phase Leader for learning and teaching, staff professional development and well-being across Years 4, 5 and 6 in a nine-form entry outstanding primary and secondary International school. This was an out of class role at a British Curriculum school, where teaching commitments involved student support groups based on up to date data and cover for class teachers in leadership roles. As a member of the Senior Leadership team, the role involved deciding upon, implementing and evaluating practices and policies across the school. Yearly KHDA inspections rated the school as outstanding.

I also took on the roles of Maths and Humanities lead, which involved running staff professional development, team teaching, action planning and implementing new schemes and up to date curriculum developments. Whilst I was part of the teaching and leadership team, the school went from good to outstanding at yearly KHDA inspections. During this time I won an award for outstanding teaching within the GEMS network.

I also coordinated after school activities for children aged 5 to 11 and used my teaching experience to be the lead mentor for PGCE students at the school. The school was rated outstanding from yearly KHDA inspections.
