Assistant psychologist
-
Aug 2011 - Jul 2012
Working alongside psychologists, therapists and family support workers in parenting assessments and interventions. My role included working directly with families and their young children, residing in the centre, to help support improvements in their parenting skills, whilst assessing them and their capabilities to build their skills and sustain them. My role also included writing court and psychologist reports detailing the assessments of the families within the centre. Some families were able to return home with their child/ren, however many of them were unable to sustain change and unfortunately our assessments concluded that they were unable to successfully and safely parent their child/ren.
