  I am an Investment Director & Financial Planner at Balance: Wealth Planning, a firm of award winning financial planners. As a financial planner, I help people to live the life they want while optimising their financial situation. Many of my clients are people who find financial services or their personal finances to be complex. I help to remove the jargon and make things easy to understand. Usually, they are looking for advice in a particular area for example retirement planning, reviewing their investments, inheritance tax planning, or making sure they are properly insured so their families will be ok if the unexpected were to happen. Often through the process, we find there is much more to consider than they originally thought and I help them make important decisions from an informed position. Here at Balance, we believe money is simply a tool to let you live the life you want to live, so we look at the bigger picture beyond the finances. I am a practitioner of the Kinder Institute of Life Planning. As investment director, I sit on the board at Balance and my primary responsibility is the creation and delivery of our investment philosophy, processes and strategy, including our range of Core and Good Practice (ESG) model portfolios. I lead our investment committee and maintain effective working relationships with external investment consultants, and others within the fund management sector.
