I had the pleasure of working with Filippo in my team for a ~3 month period of time to help catch some internal project deadlines. Filippo fitted in marvellously from the very start - there was little or no language barrier despite different primary languages, and he rapidly understood the aim of our work. Despite little experience with our stack and (rather messy codebase), we were all astounded by how quickly he was up to speed and producing top-tier work. A lot of the work involved was converting messy ES5 callback nests into ES6 Promises, and I was consistently significantly impressed by the elegance of his produced code, especially considering he had 0 experience with either prior to our work request. Finally, not only was Filippo's produced work spot-on throughout, so was his work ethic. I would embarrassingly often wake up the next morning to find it just completed and working. This recommendation ended up fairly long but in short - Filippo produced absolutely top-tier code, working from minimal previous experience with the technology, and his work ethic put me and the rest of my company to shame.
