  During my experience as an intern at BioHorizons Camlog, I had the opportunity to partake in an active company project. The internship’s aim was to allow me to apply my university course knowledge in an ongoing product development. The company assigned me 2 products in order to perform the following activities: •Full clinical overview, scientific background, SWOT analysis and product legislation; •Analysis regarding clinician application on these new biomaterials; •Initial market assessment, product positioning and top line financials; •Final report and project presentation for management and sales training. The 2 products are biomaterials that are used during oral surgeries to allow the patient to have a better healing and regenerative process post-operation, decreasing the healing period but giving a better-quality tissue recovery. These state of the art technologies allow patients to experience minimal post-operative problems; hence, giving better physiologically recovery and better aesthetically pleasing result to patients. To achieve the objectives established for my internship I followed the following methodology: •Performed individual literature research on the product and on competitors. •Structured specific questionnaires to fill with dentists during interviews; •Performed interview sessions with respected professional dentists in Milan to obtain feedback on main surgical procedures, clinical application, financial benefits and others. •Elaborate, for each product, a final report and excel spreadsheet to determine the products overall advantages in market and a benefit analysis for the company, clinic and patient point of view. •Preparation of final presentation to management and sales training.
