Working with Filipe is a true pleasure. He’s a talented designer who approaches his craft thoughtfully and meticulously—all of which is evident in the work he produces. Additionally, he’s adept at working with others, from his closest colleagues to members of the c-suite, to bring their ideas to life through visual communication. I would recommend Filipe for any job or project without hesitation!

I arrived at Airy with a product in its early stage. The company had an iOS, Android and Web apps but all using different interfaces, experiences and solutions for the same problems. My first step was to do an audit and try to identify where all the inconsistencies were. With that in place, the second step was to create a basic component library meanwhile we started to deliver some features or redesign – due the size of the team and company, it was still impossible to think of a design system, although I tried to develop everything with this already in mind. This step was very important to speed up front-end and design work and keep the same consistency. Focused on the business case and strategy and backed with the usage data, we could then make decisions to change, add or even kill certain features. I had the opportunity to work in every small and big aspect or flows of the app. Across the nearly two years I've been working for Airy, we’ve basically built a product from the ground and we keep iterating. We simplified the mobile apps so the experience would be only messaging exchange, while all account flows became browser based. This allowed to decrease significantly the maintenance costs, cut down QA tests scenarios freeing up the team to focus in other areas. The constant iteration also opens space for a redesign, although the inbox interface redesign came up to align the admin dashboard UI language, it was a design decision in order to make the experience for agents better, aesthetics and microinteractions that power up the common activities. Working with such a big and dynamic product in a super senior team lifted my experience and pushed me towards the impact that design can have in the business. It also forced me to understand and learn more about SaaS and, consequently, software – with all its limitations and specifics. Show less

I was part of Product and responsible for UX and UI design for The Netherlands and Germany's websites, applications and internal systems, working closely with the global design team in the US and the UK. Previously I've also supported the marketing team with marketing design, covering from internal communications to social media and advertising campaigns. Main duties include: • Work in new solutions in order to improve the user experience, where I had the opportunity to create prototypes, think of User Testing cases, facilitate sessions and generate reports that were the base for final design decisions. • Work closely with Front-end and Content teams being a bridge between Product and other departments • Responsible for brand approval for both geographies • Basic Front-end work for static pages • Briefing photographers and movie makers and participating in the actual footage Show less
