I had the pleasure of hearing Fidelis speak at a fundraising conference a few years ago and was really impressed with her knowledge of the sector and her willingness to support others. I recently wanted to plan a session for the Furloughed Fundraisers Facebook group regarding writing CVs and working on interview skills and everybody that I spoke to recommended I contact Fidelis as she was now running a very successful recruitment business. Fidelis accepted straight away and put together a fantastic workshop for our group members. We received some lovely feedback:

I’ve dealt with many recruitment consultants over the years as a candidate and I have to say Fidelis stands out as the exception. She made me feel like a truly valued candidate right from the get go; she kept me informed and went out of her way to help me. I really appreciated Fidelis’ genuine, friendly and caring approach. She’s an example other recruitment agencies should follow by valuing candidates as well as clients. I would highly recommend Fidelis to any person or organisation seeking help with their career and recruitment needs.

I set up Gamma Talent because I want to help charities meet their potential: be that by identifying clear strategic objectives, increasing their income or securing the most talented people. Based upon my professional and personal experience of working in and with the charity sector for the past 19 years, Gamma Talent focusses on 3 areas: recruitment, training and consultancy. These 3 areas complement each other and allow the business to have a real understanding of current issues and opportunities within the charity world - I think this has been key to our success. Gamma Talent has a range of clients, all different in turnover and focus but mainly from the West Midlands. I'm very proud that the business is also the preferred recruitment supplier to some well-known Brum charities. Visit the website for more info - www.gammatalent.com. Xoserve is the heartbeat of the country's gas industry, operating the commercial framework for the sector. I had strategic management of Xoserve's corporate responsibility programme, directly overseeing the company's community affairs activities and our inclusion and diversity programme. I worked in an advisory capacity to my colleagues who oversaw other aspects of our responsible business work, such as wellbeing and sustainability. The role was extremely varied and I worked alongside all levels and disciplines, from the Chief Executive to our work experience students. I introduced the company’s first strategic charity partnership programme, raising over £30,000 which brought about a strategic focus to the impact we were making with our charitable giving. I created and implemented a skills-based employee volunteering programme, which saw 19% of the workforce develop their skills in Year 1. The company also has a charitable foundation, whereby I assumed the role of CEO, and I instigated 2 grant funding schemes and completed a governance review resulting in the writing and adoption of several policies.

My role was to enthuse companies across the country to support the hospital's continued excellence through donations, be it monetary, advice and introductions or gifts in kind. I sat within the Corporate Partnerships Team, working very closely with our Major Donor and Events teams. I am very proud of the relationships I was able to develop for the hospital, including securing the partnership which to this day, remains the largest ever corporate donor. However, I found that it wasn't all about the biggest and or most well known corporate donors that motivated me - it was helping companies meet their community affairs goals, whatever these goals happened to be. I loved inviting companies to visit the hospital to explain just what it takes for an outstanding hospital like BCH to exist and then to subsequently develop programmes that were mutually beneficial.

Overseeing the development of corporate fundraising activities, including employee volunteering, sponsorship and gifts in kind. I also managed a team, held a place on the senior management team and developed a prolific network of supporters across the region.I am so proud of what I achieved at this amazing hospital, which includes increasing corporate fundraising by 700% under my leadership. I was the corporate fundraising lead in the £2m Heart Appeal, the £1.5m BBC Kidney Kids Appeal, and the £4m Cancer Unit Appeal, as well as leading on a range of smaller but equally important campaigns across the different funds.
