I have had the pleasure to work with Fidelis over many years and in different capacities within international. education. She is not only an aspirational leader and empathetic person, she is also real and authentic in her interactions with people across the organisations she works within. Fidelis is a dedicated and knowledgeable educational leader who understands that her role is to empower and inspire her teams and create spaces where her teams strive with creativity and growth. When leading she understands that her success is that of her colleagues and will do everything in her power to ensure that her team is supported, healthy, heard, understood, and striving. She is a great listener, has a sense of humour and continues to lead multicultural and diverse teams successfully. She currently leads a group of over 7 nationalities and she has managed to create a safe and convivial team which works collaboratively and respectfully together as one team. Fidelis also works with and leads in other teams in the IB, collaborating as the knowledge expert across diverse areas. We are both passionate about Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and have co-presented at international education conferences as she also believes that an excellent international educational experience is based on the diversity and respect of all stakeholders. It is a privilege to work with and for her and she shows humility in all her interactions in the work place. I would never hesitate to work with her over and over again!

Few people are privileged to be nurtured with a well rounded human being - but I had that benefit while studying at Agakhan Mzizima Secondary School with Fidelis Nthenge as the head of school. If you wake me up in the middle of the night and ask me to mention five people with leadership capabilities who will positively influence the place and the people around them, then be assured to find her name at the top of that list!
