  I joined the company when the company has just decided to have a Tech Division, as the First Man in tech my first main responsibility was Recruiting I have always consider that product and tech (in a tech company) as one unit, so i implement this in Getcraft. We have bi-weekly sprints, daily standups, all of that agility stuffs that might sound Scrum-y, but its actually me piecing together the goodness of it that "works" with the team https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-BOSpxYJ9M (for consideration) 10+ years in this industry and being fed with so many phylosophical tech terms and or jargons and or methodologies, made me realize that its really all boiled down into one thing, which is "one should only do one thing and do it well" (see what i did there?), and i will always try to implement this towards every tech aspects and decisions. Along the way and chronologically, here's what follows Getcraft has already on their way of having a full circle running platform (they built this by hiring one of the local software house) to help them on their business. So initially, i need to identify the current tech x product to see how far, how fit, how scalable (etc) the current product is in terms of the business and where the business is heading. This leads to the decisions to rebuild the platform from scratch, now i am not a guy who will just jump to a "rebuild from scratch" decision, i would rather usually grow and scale from what we already have We build the new platform using * Nodejs + Express backend framework * Socket.io * React + redux (with material-ui as the main components) * A bit of Go * Docker + k8s with * Git Flow (https://www.atlassian.com/git/tutorials/comparing-workflows#gitflow-workflow) and semver * TDD * Continuous Delivery * Pair programming Some of the things listed here is probably experimental, but i would like to bet on the RnD side of it and be responsible for any risk it would pose.
