I was involved in organising and participating in beach cleans and rocky shore species ID events which required forward planning, taking tides and public holidays into consideration. Another part of my role was to source a speaker and organise a presentation evening. I publicised these events effectively using social media and ensure the correct staff are on hand (first aiders etc). When COVID struck in March 2020 I had to liaise with the relevant people involved, to work with restrictions and reorganise one of my events accordingly. As well as developing administrative skills, I led Pacific oyster surveys in a small part of the south-west English coast, contributing to research by Natural England and the control of the invasive species.

Part of the brand new team opening the very first Plymouth Five Guys Store. Leading on unique customer service, I was fully trained on each station and reached my goal of becoming designated Quality Control (QC) within my first six months. This was a part time role whilst I completed the final year of my degree. Part of the brand new team opening the very first Plymouth Five Guys Store. Roar Ambition is a leading direct sales and marketing agency specialising in door to door engagement. I represented Money Expert on their energy suppliers’ campaign, approaching customers in a friendly and positive manner to help them understand how the National Grid works and ways in which they could save money. On track for promotion after my first week, however, I left to return to studying in Plymouth. Skills that I developed include customer service, public relations, brand awareness and basic sales.
