After my departure from Transpower, I took a “sabbatical” year to look after my well-being, volunteer at a Mary Potter Hospice shop and a retirement home and go back to Colombia to assist my mother. After my return to New Zealand, I applied to several jobs, with partial success. Later, Covid affected the job market and reduced considerably the number of new positions for almost the next two years. In the interim, I registered for online courses regarding Electric Cars, Python, and Data Science. As part of these studies, I completed the IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, which provided me with a good update on the methods and techniques in use nowadays for data analysis. Additionally, I finished the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. Given my interest in data science, I applied for a Master programme at Georgia Tech (Georgia Institute of Technology), which I am taking at the moment. Show less
