As a world leader in diabetes/obesity care, Novo Nordisk's mission is to change the course of diabetes and obesity. I contributed my efforts towards this goal for almost 14 years in the South Florida Diabetes and Obesity markets. My MISSION is to help people living with chronic illnesses using the resources and products at my disposal. My COMMITMENT to Novo Nordisk was to maximize product utilization while positioning us as leaders of care amongst my stakeholders. My RESPONSIBILITIES included partnering with known/emerging stakeholders, promoting Obesity education/advocacy, and the implementation of sales strategies to effectively grow my market while promoting Novo Nordisk’s portfolio to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare customers.I have demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills which drive performance at local and regional levels. I have a strong understanding of the cardio-metabolic disease, Novo Nordisk’s portfolio, and the role our therapies play in the life of patients and their health care practitioners. These skills coupled with an aptitude for learning and the ability to communicate technical and scientific product/disease management information to potential customers resulted in a consistent and well proven track record of winning sales results. One of my additional strengths is navigating sales data to uncover potential areas of growth. I am known by my peers to share this aptitude with others and elevate my team's success by helping them uncovering new strategies to drive performance. I am able to strategically evaluate options and make decisions with minimal supervision in both team, pod, and solitary work settings. My winning attitude, leaderless-leader mentality, and genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of patients drives me to be the best.

Novo Nordisk is a focused healthcare company and a world leader in diabetes/obesity care. We actively work to change the course of the diabetes/obesity pandemic, and improve the daily lives of people with chronic diabetes.I have been with Novo Nordisk for 9 years as a pharmaceutical sales representative in South Florida. While in the Diabetes Sales Division at Novo Nordisk I maximized sales and the positioning of Novo Nordisk as the leading company in diabetes care. I assumed responsibility for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies aimed at effectively selling and promoting Novo Nordisk’s portfolio of diabetes products to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other paramedical customers.Achievements:• Top Regional Sales Award (2012)• Top Area Sales Award (2014)I have also demonstrated proven leadership and decision-making skills aimed at driving performance. Specifically, I've developed a solid foundation and understanding of the diabetes disease state, Novo Nordisk’s portfolio, and the role which both non-insulin and insulin therapies play in the life of patients and health care practitioners and the manipulation of sales data to uncover potential areas of opportunity for business growth within analytical sales software. Then implementing specific strategies to drive performance within those areas, strategically evaluate options and making decisions with minimal supervision in both team, pod, and solitary work settings. These skills coupled with an aptitude for learning and the ability to effectively communicate technical and scientific product information to potential customers resulted in my consistent and proven track record of winning sales results.A winning attitude, my leadership mentality, and genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of patients is what drives me to be the best.

While attending Florida State University and earning my BA in Business, I interviewed and was selected for an internship opportunity with Florida House Representative Rene Garcia of Hialeah (Currently The Florida State Senator Representing the 38th District, Miami-Dade County). I was exposed to several aspects of the Health Care Industry due to Rep. Garcia's dedication to Florida's ongoing involvement in Health Care Reform. I handled an array of activities ranging from legislative research, project management, correspondence with constituents, and bill presentation in addition to ordinary day to day activities. The skills and work ethic I learned managing this opportunity and a full course load simultaneously, has molded me into the outgoing, knowledgable, companionate, and hard working individual I am today.
