      In 2013, I started the current stage of my professional life and I joined Aliseda, the bank’s real estate subsidiary, where I started as the commercial director and later moved to corporate marketing director with responsibility for increasing sales. I was given the position of deputy director of the main branch in Madrid, with the largest turnover and 33 employees. After this, I became the director of a new branch, which was formed by the merger of two existing: Vasconia and Popular branches. I was then managing an increasing business with a staff of 14.       I was then promoted to commercial and marketing director of Popular’s flagship project at that time – the creation of an e-bank. At that time, other e-banks were already launching in Spain and we needed to face the competition. In 2000, only 13% of the Spanish population were internet users (81% in 2016). We designed a range of products, created a web site, and set up a call centre, all in just seven months. Working closely with the IT department, I had their complete support.
