  This immersive multidisciplinary photography and movement installation work explores humans’ relationship with and innate affinity to the natural world. Specifically, the Biophilia hypothesis, which suggests that humans possess an innate tendency to seek connections with nature and other forms of life. It is a visceral experience through the eyes of Fern Mines and Ahlia Sanders, two young artists growing up experiencing climate anxiety. Prompting viewers to look inwards and consider their relationship to the natural world within today’s fast paced and consumption driven society. Highlighting that humans are not separate from the earth but live and breathe in the world like every other organism, connected to the web of nature in infinite ways. Show less

  'i know the end' is a queer coming-of-age story, encapsulating connection and intimacy through the lens of those that are raised alien to it. In this intimate, immersive dance theatre work, dancers Caroline De Wan and Fern Mines guide audiences through a mercurial world, discovering unknown entities and piecing together figments of a lost relationship. Choreographed and composed by Alix Kuijpers and featuring an SA-based emerging cast, this visceral and incandescent Australian debut will become his first major work since receiving First Class Honours in Dance for his work IMMATERIAL. Incorporating sculpture, movement, sound and poetry, this playscape invites everyone - in any stage of life - to leave their mark. Created by a diverse team of emerging Adelaide artists who ask "when do we have time to play?". How can we make space for play in our arts practice and in our everyday?
