Undertook a practicum of ~150 hours with the team examining how a specific signalling pathway controls muscle mass. These studies used molecular biology techniques to inhibit or stimulate specific signalling proteins in a mouse model of a neuromuscular disorder, and biochemical/histological methods to examine the effects on muscle attributes, and gene/protein regulation.
