I assist and support the doctors I work with by completing blood draws, acquiring samples for lab testing, giving injections sq/IM/IV, and prepping patients for surgeries and other procedures. I will also run blood for in house labs, complete urinalysis with cytology, fecal analysis, skin and ear cytology and monitoring patients under anesthesia. I am responsible for training incoming assistants on how to use avimark, care for and prepare surgical equipment and packs, and complete technician appointments that do not require a doctors over sight.
