I continued to fine tune my 'Stronger & Leaner' concept, implementing more Strength and Conditioning based concepts alongside improved knowledge of sports nutrition and corrective exercise. Periodisation became a key element of my process and I zoned in more on the details surrounding biomechanics and exercise physiology. I left in order to run the general management of Nudge and prepare it for launch. A large part of my job was organising Tier 2 Visas and assisting with the administration required so doctors could have their license to practice granted in the UK. Fortunately, I was able to pick up a great deal of transferable organisation skills alongside adding some good sales techniques to my repertoire. During my time at Vobis Medical I used my evenings, weekends and annual leave to create the business plan for my sports product. At the end of November 2016 I had a good BP so I approached (via Linkedin) my first choice of around 15 investors which I shortlisted on Angel Investment Network. Five months later I had the product in development so I had to start working part time on the project and leave Vobis Medical. Using the savings from my previous Head Bartender position I spent 2 weeks working with a Muay Thai instructor 1on1 in London to learn the stance and striking techniques. I then travelled to Phuket to train between 3-6 hours a day for over a month. I intended for this trip to be the catalyst which would drive me towards a new career that I felt truly passionate about, although at the time I did not have a firm plan of what I would do upon my return.
