• AFS Asia Kakehashi Japan Student Exchange Returnee

  Participated by 190 students from all over Asia, it was a fully funded student exchange program by Japan Government. I experienced Japan Senior Highschool life for 5 months from September 2020-March 2021 (Which should have taken place for 11 months but was reduced due to Corona Virus Pandemic on 2020). In Indonesia, more than 1000 students enrolled on this scholarship, but only 24 were chosen. The goal of this program is to strengthen the bond and understanding between countries in Asia After the program, I improved my Japanese language skill to JLPT N4 level. Besides learning the Japanese language and culture, I also introduce and promote the Indonesian language and culture. For example, I performed Pencak Silat (Indonesian Traditional Martial Art) at my Japan host school graduation ceremony. It was a challenging program due to the language barrier, but I managed to pass through and even successfully improved my Japanese language skill and resiliency Show less
