  Assesses and documents student leadership skills and MCJROTC academic skills. Develops and implements instructional lesson plans utilizing the MCJROTC lesson plan and curriculum materials. Maintains documentation of student progress, implements appropriate instructional techniques based on individual student needs, & outfits instructional strategies that reflect the Virgina Performance Standards. Complies with the requirements outlined in the annual MCJROTC Curriculum Implementation Plan, collaborates with general education staff, special education staff, guidance counselors, and school administrators, as needed, to maximize program effectiveness. Performs administrative and logistical tasks related to MCJROTC program management. Maintains technical proficiency in the administrative, logistical, and cadet data components. Maintains fundraising accountability as required by school and district policies. Involved in the enrollment and co-curricular activities. Responsible for the leadership education portion of the curriculum which includes drill and ceremonies, principles of leadership/management, and communication skills. Assisting in teaching, particularly those areas where they have special competence because of their experience and training. Give and grade tests, career/performance counseling, and supervise cadet activities. Provides comprehensive educational instruction to students enrolled in the MCJROTC program. Instructors wear their Marine Corps Uniforms while performing MCJROTC duties. Show less
