  During my seven years contract as a research assistant in the Laboratory for Heat Energy and Engine Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Münster I was mainly responsible for the development of a large test rig for the investigation of superheated organic vapor flows for the optimization of ORC turbines. In addition to detailed aerodynamics and thermodynamics, the complex process plant had to be… Show more During my seven years contract as a research assistant in the Laboratory for Heat Energy and Engine Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Münster I was mainly responsible for the development of a large test rig for the investigation of superheated organic vapor flows for the optimization of ORC turbines. This involved the design, project planning and engineering of the test facility. In addition to detailed aerodynamics and thermodynamics, the complex process plant had to be constructed according to pressure vessel classifications in compliance with current standards and guidelines. Regular consultation with safety officers and the development of special technical solutions with experts were of great importance. Due to the large number of trades involved, obtaining quotations and professional supplier contact as well as strategic supplier selection were part of the day-to-day business. Regular team meetings and the use of a time planning tool were used for project coordination. In the further course of the project, I guided project team members so that we could set up and commission the test facility together. Testing with modern measurement technology took place during the first successful measurement campaigns. The scientific relevance was finally documented at international conferences.
