  During my time at Ardent, I gaining experience in corporate finance with a particular focus on M&A transactions. Ardent advises fast growing online retail and digit commerce companies on a range of strategic corporate finance initiatives. They have a particular focus on capital raises and sell side transactions. My role included; comprehensive market research with overviews of market sectors, relevant past transactions, compiling lists of potential Acquirers and investors for ongoing deals along with comparing trading multiples and relevant financial data for valuation purposes. In my short time here I have learnt invaluable knowledge with actionable application in private equity. It has been an invaluable experience working on deals up to $30M USD. I was sad to leave when my time to finish this internship had come as I very much enjoyed working with the team.
