In 2020, I was selected as a researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon, where I am working on the "EPOCA: corruption and economic crisis" project. I have published several articles and book chapters and have participated in multiple master's and doctoral examinations. My work brings together different fields of economics, political science, sociology, and psychology in Portugal and Brazil.

My academic and scientific journey over the last five years has been centered around Economics of Criminality, with a focus on tax evasion and corruption practices. I earned my Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Federal University of Viçosa in 2016, with a visiting scholar period at Goehte Universität Frankfurt am Main, Germany. After completing my Ph.D., I started my postdoctoral research at the Department of Economics at UFV, funded by CAPES, where I explored agent-based modeling and Game Theory. My work in this area earned me the best scientific paper award at the Delfos Conference. In addition to my postdoctoral research, I was involved in two academic projects. I coordinated five editions of the "Science in the Square" project, which aimed to promote engagement between the university and the local community. I also helped establish the Academic League of Studies on Crime (LAEC), which trains specialists in the field of crime through a combination of teaching, research, and extension activities. I served as the sub-coordinator of LAEC and led the research group on financial crimes, tax evasion, and corruption. Show less

As a volunteer member of the social project "Science in the Square," I have contributed to its execution and played an active role in its financial and logistical management. Since its establishment on September 24, 2015, the Viçosa Center of the CsF Network has been a driving force in promoting Science, Technology, Innovation, and Education in Viçosa, MG. The center is comprised of motivated students from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) and strives to bring together a diverse range of students and community members to create a dynamic environment for the development of these fields. The main challenges faced by myself were: Competition: There is a high level of competition in the beauty industry, which can make it difficult to stand out and attract customers. Regulation: The cosmetics and hairdressing industry is heavily regulated, and entrepreneurs must be aware of and comply with the laws and regulations that apply to the production and sale of these products. Cost: Starting a cosmetics or hairdressing business can be expensive, particularly in terms of product development, packaging, marketing, and distribution. Marketing and Branding: In a crowded marketplace, it is important for entrepreneurs to develop effective marketing strategies to build brand awareness and attract customers. Trends: The beauty industry is constantly evolving, and entrepreneurs must be able to keep up with new trends and products in order to remain competitive. Product Development: In order to meet the changing needs of consumers, entrepreneurs must be able to develop and bring new and innovative products to market quickly and effectively. Supply Chain Management: Entrepreneurs must have effective supply chain management strategies in place to ensure that their products are manufactured and delivered on time and at a competitive cost. Quality Control: Maintaining high standards of quality is crucial in the cosmetics and hairdressing industry, and entrepreneurs must be able to effectively manage their quality control processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
