The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a unique educational programme which brings together young people from all over Europe to discuss current topics in a parliamentary setting. The European Youth Parliament’s mission is to inspire and empower young Europeans to become open-minded, tolerant and active citizens. Today the EYP is one of the largest European platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, European civic education and the exchange of ideas among young people in Europe. SEKMUN is a Model of United Nations that lets students from different countries gather in different committees and create resolutions to worldwide problems. Starting as a page-boy, then a delegate, President of FAO Council committee and finally Secretary General of the whole model. Being Secretary General gave me the opportunity to represent the values and mission of the model by giving a speech and presiding the Spanish Senate. I had the opportunity to speak in front of hundreds of people and recognised Figures, such as the President of the Spanish Senate and President of UNICEF Spain among others. Show less
