  Being a part of the substation department, which is responsible for Design, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of DEWA Substations, my individual responsibilities as an electrical site engineer included: • Producing technical details using knowledge of engineering materials and installation technique which notably include taking the material quantity and coordinating with Supplier for delivery as per site progress. • Good knowledge of procedures carried out for execution of erecting and testing Electrical equipment used in Substations such as Power Transformers, 132kV GIS, 11kV Switchgear, Capacitor Banks, LVAC Panel, DC Systems, 132kV and 11kV cables. • Involvement in work scheduling and manpower allocation in carrying out Snag, Erection checklist, FAT MoM point works, documentation & verification at site level and also raising work and material inspections with client personnel. • Ensure cable laying and earthing are carried out as per checklist. Provide Red markup for drawings where needed and produce As built for the same by coordinating with design department. • Supervise and Coordinate with manufacturers and sub-contractors and ensure all requirements, including payment, are met and are reported to the responsible manager.
