Invite the World to Dinner was the grand finale event to Tourism Australia’s $30 million food-inspired Restaurant Australia travel campaign. Tasmania won the bid to host the dinner which involved 80 of the world's most influential food and wine media and celebrities, converging on Hobart for a final gala dinner at the Museum of Old and New Art.

Tourism Tasmania, in partnership with Business Events Tasmania, co-hosted the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) Symposium 2010. The Symposium is Australia’s largest inbound tourism conference. A total of 429 travel and tourism professionals attended the three-day event. An estimated $1 million of direct spend from delegates was realised for the state. Tourism Tasmania, in partnership with Business Events Tasmania, co-hosted the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) Symposium 2010. The Symposium is Australia’s largest inbound tourism conference.
