I am currently completing a secondment within the Water and River Murray Division of the Department.My role is responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the development, implementation and delivery of complex and critical environmental projects of the South Australian Riverland Floodplains Integrated Infrastructure Program (SARFIIP). In particular, contributing to the finalisation of environmental investigations works at the Katarapko, Pike and Salinity Management Measures (SMM) projects and support the completion of operations information to ensure the achievement of environmental outcomes.Key Role Outcomes Expert advice is provided to the Water Infrastructure and Operations Management Team on the implementation and management of operations at Pike, Katarapko and SMM, in order to ensure informed and effective decisions are made and Agency and strategic objectives are met. Substantive environmental project and investigation activities are led, managed and performed in alignment with scientific and Agency agreed standards, budgets and timeframes. DEW operational policy, strategic planning and decision-making are supported and informed through the provision of expert reviews on state and nationally related policy and legislation. Projects are planned, implemented, coordinated and successfully delivered in line with agreed standards and timeframes. Strong collaborative partnerships, relationships and networks are established and fostered across the Water Infrastructure and Operations Branch and with other State and Commonwealth agencies, community partners and stakeholder groups, to support the effective delivery and close out of the SARFIIP Program.
