It is my pleasure to provide a character reference for Felice Davis, Leader of Brownie Troop #20076. In her role as Brownie Troop Leader, Felice Davis has made a positive impact on the lives of her Brownies and the community as well. It is because of Felice’s initiative that our troop was founded; it is her passion and energy that keeps it going. I can think of no one better suited for the role and no one more deserving for recognition of her contribution to the Girl Scouts of America than Felice Davis. Above all else, a Troop Leader serves as a role model for her Brownies. I could not be more pleased to know my daughter is inspired by Ms. Felice. I have seen her face light up upon discovering a letter in the mail, the address beautifully handwritten by none other than our beloved troop leader, Ms. Felice. The note inside always one of encouragement or recognition of a job well done. Felice makes my daughter feel special by applauding her accomplishments while teaching her to work as a part of the Brownie troop as a unit. As a leader, Felice Davis has fostered an environment of friendship and teamwork, where the girls continue learn how to make the world a better place by working together. In their first year together, our troop was able to start a recycling program at our local school which is still in place today thanks to the guidance of Felice Davis. In 2010, our girls learned to make individual quilt squares which Felice brought together to make a patchwork quilt that was auctioned at a local school fundraiser. She has encouraged her troop to care for the community outside the school walls by having the girls make Valentines for residents of a local senior center. As a working mother myself, I am amazed by the energy and passion Felice brings to her troop. She keeps us organized and enthused in addition to managing her own family and professional responsibilities. And she does it all with a smile. It is a pleasure to know Felice Davis and an honor to provide a character reference on her behalf.
